why are my vector brushes looking like this?

Recommended Posts

Downloaded some illustrator files to make some brushes from. The top and bottom edges from my "save png from selection with background" pics look pretty funky when I import them as an intensity brush. Please see the attachment.

Thanks for help.

@Callum  Please see the attachment. The same thing happened with some stippling brushes I downloaded a while back. Also, could you please point me to the best tutorials for creating non-stretch brushes. I'm having a tough time with making my vector brushes work right.

Thanks again for the help.

Hi Angier,

This is because there is not enough black space along the top and bottom borders of the image you are creating your brush from, it needs to look more like my attachment.

Thanks
