signalfading
Hello, Since the most recent 1.8.4 update, I'm unable to open any file without Affinity Photo immediately crashing running under MacOS Mojave. The file type doesn't seem to matter. I've tried .jpg, .CR2, and .AffinityPhoto files. Crash reporter says: Crashed Thread: 8 Dispatch queue: com.apple.root.utility-qos Exception Type: EXC_ARITHMETIC (SIGFPE) Exception Codes: EXC_I386_DIV (divide by zero) Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY Termination Signal: Floating point exception: 8 Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 0x8 Terminating Process: exc handler [4699] Luckily, I can use the iPad version. It also happens with any process attempting to open an image, like an HDR merge. As soon as you specify the 3 images and click ok, it crashes. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Staff MEB Posted August 24, 2020 Staff Share Posted August 24, 2020 Hi signalfading, Please go to Affinity Preferences, Performance section and untick Enable Metal compute acceleration. Does it crash with Metal acceleration disabled? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
