JeanT
Hello Affinity, I just bought Designer and until now I am very happy of your software. I am a designer and I create illustrations for the industry. I was looking at the way how to import a DWG or a DXF. I am very, VERY, VERYVERY surprised to see it is not possible. Then I browsed your forum, and discovered this import/export is requested by HUNDREDS of your clients/user sinds 2015 !!!! I do not understand, ... is there ANY reasonable explanation not to be able to import a DWG in Affinity? Technical? Commercial? Moral? Cultural? Please give us a reason why it is not possible. And please find here my request for this import possibility in affinity, to be added to the hundreds others. Greetings from Brussels, Jean
Pšenda
Serif said he was considering supporting the format, for example here: Since Serif does not comment on user requirements, this is probably the only information you can get. Personally, however, I assume that, as with all other "must have" requirements, it is a question of development capabilities and priorities. For example, for me and HUNDREDS other users, this is a completely unnecessary skill, so I'm glad that Serif is doing more necessary things and fixes. P. S. As stated in the forum rules, it is advisable to continue the discussion with an already created thread, and not to create a new thread with exactly the same topic.
