Not sure why this is happening.

I export the file using the psd setting for editability.

Photoshop opens, a wheel spins and boom it closes.

A little later I get this error:

Looks like it is related to the color profile settings in Photoshop and the settings used in the document for Affinity.

When I replaced the Photoshop pref file with an old one I was able to open the Affinity file.

But even though I have the settings in Photoshop set  to not convert the profile to the working space,

it seems to convert the colors.

It's quite an odd problem.  It seems to be related to the color profiles.

I'm using the halftone filters in Affinity Photo to create a circular and dot like pattern on an image.

If I export as a tiff with everything flattened, I believe it comes in looking correct in Photoshop.

With layers, it gets converted  which changes everything.

In Affinity Designer, the psd file comes in correctly, but I have to change one layer from colour burn to linear burn.

Clip Paint studio converts it as well, although I don't believe you can stop the conversion in there.

At one point, Photoshop seemed to bring in a basic two layer version with color burn on one, correctly.

I added more layers and it converted the file.
