thetasig
AFPUB 1.8.3, Mac 10.15.3. I have a number of ordinals in my document that are indexed. An example is "18th Birthday", where the "th" is a superscript. In this case, the quoted words are also indexed. I don't know if this is by design, but the index text drops the superscript down to the default baseline (as seen here in this topic). I would have expected the index to respect the superscript and have that properly shown. I'd appreciate some clarification. Thanks.

When you insert an index mark, there's a dialog where you provide information (topic name, parent topic, etc.) as shown below. The box for the topic name is plain text, without any kind of formatting or typography or positioning information. Just plain simple text without super- or subscripts, italic, bold, etc. Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
