NotKale
I have been using affinity photo just fine for a few weeks, but have recently encountered a few bugs. 1. The app crashes frequently when importing from photos. After clicking the “import from photos” button, the interface freezes for a second, before crashing. Multiple closes and reopening of the app and the same bug persists. Restarting iPad also doesn’t seem to solve the issue. 2. Once you are able to import from photos, about 80% of the time, the image is almost completely black, without the ability to edit it at all. To fix this, you have to close the project, and import the same photo again, which seems to solve the problem. These 2 bugs are making Affinity photo extremely hard to use as it very frustrating to not be able to open a photo to edit. ipad pro 10.5 Affinity photo 1.8.
Staff Chris B Posted July 8, 2020 Staff Share Posted July 8, 2020 Hey NotKale, Welcome to the Affinity Forums. Are you working with the same raw format? If so, what is it and can you attach one? It sounds like these issues are pretty consistent for you but that's the opposite of my experience. I use the iPad daily to test customer files and for other work etc. Have you tried restarting the iPad recently? How much space is available on the iPad?
