Moving partially affected text to new background

Recommended Posts

Evening folks - Newbie questions but have scoured the forum for the answer before posting in case there was a very easy solution but couldn't find one so hoping you can help.

End result will be a text which maintains the spiral colour that i can put on different backgrounds.

The word 'Centric' will be on items of various background colours so I need the main 'filled' area of each letter to have the spiral colour gradient visible (as it is in the image attached) while the checkerboard will of course be represented by whichever colour document it will be printed on. The large spiral background in the attached will also of course be deleted. Not sure how to progress beyond the attached.

Converted to curves. Erase blend mode. Whenever i move the text it doesn't maintain the spiral effect i keep trying to impress on it.

Any guidance is much appreciated, thanks so much everyone!

Pete

With this file, you need to divide the characters to get the separate components like the character centre line, the front of the character and the shadow.

But...

If you have the fonts and in particular Bungee inline, things become a lot easier, The kerning is on BUNGEE INLINE.
