captain13chris Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Hi Affinity-Team, I just created a pretty small document (800x1200 px) with 3 embedded .jpg files and after using the export menu (not the export persona), Affinity uses up 360 % of my CPU and doesn't respond! After a few minutes, it executes the clicks I made, but hangs again. It seems to have to do with the png export, since that is the default export format, maybe the calculation of the file size? I then chose to export as a jpg and Affinity Photo again takes a longer time than expected and again the fans of my 13" MacBook Pro began spinning up. The export worked but there seems to be a very big bug with your export! If it is of any help, I can send you the Affinity document. Regards, Chris PS: I'm on OS X 10.11 Public Beta 6 (15A243d) using the latest Affinity Photo Beta.
billtils Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Chris I repeated these steps and never got beyond 25% of CPU and about 3 seconds to complete** in 10.11, and 40% and 3 seconds in 10.10. On MBP 9,3 with 8GB RAM and all SSD. Bill ** this is the actual time to complete the export of the file to the nominated destination, not the "time" shown in the Activity monitor. Retina iMac (4K display, 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM) OS X 10.11.6 Capture One 10.
captain13chris Posted August 5, 2015 Author Posted August 5, 2015 Well, I tried it again - same results as can be seen in the screenshot. The UI is non responsive even before clicking on export. I'll send the file to Affinity for them to reproduce. Affinity Auslastung.tiff
