Shih Posted June 9, 2020 Share Posted June 9, 2020 Ai file is Adobe Illustrator file. I need to open an Ai file with affinity designer , edit it and then export as a JPG of PDF file. Staff MEB Posted June 9, 2020 Staff Share Posted June 9, 2020 Hi Shih, Welcome to Affinity Forums Affinity apps can all open Ai files as long as they have been saved with Create PDF Compatible File ticked/checked in Illustrator. This option forces the inclusion of a PDF stream in the Ai file that Affinity apps are able to read however this doesn't support all Illustrator features - for example gradient meshes are not editable even with that option checked.
