Staff Sean P Posted June 3, 2020 Staff Posted June 3, 2020 Hi Red Furnace, This isn't a bug and is nothing we can do, its a consequence of the file formats Power Point is placing on its clipboard when you copy the objects. Power Point is placing a PDF copy of the objects on the clipboard (to try and retain the vector objects) which is what is getting pasted in inside Affinity. However the PDF format doesn't generally support these kinds of effects such as drop shadows, so to retain the look it will create a rasterised version of the shadow. However the text and shapes are kept as vector objects, so whilst they're editable, the shadow is still baked in. If you group the objects in Affinity after pasting you can use the lower (of the two) Bottom Left handle to rescale the objects ensuring the text is also scaled. This way it ensures the shadow stays in the correct place. The paste behaviour is also similar in Photoshop except that it gets pasted as Vector Smart Object which is a contained AI file. When this is edited in Illustrator, you will also see the same issue with the shadow.
