IDML import Windows, Publisher crash

Just bought the suite, so running 1.8.3.641 under Win10 1809 . The attached file created in ID 7.5.3/CS5.5 will open in the same version of ID but crashes Publisher immediately when I try to open it there. I'd appreciate any help anyone can give.

I'm struggling to nail down the reason, but I can definitely reproduce it and have passed it on to development.

In case it helps, the only slightly unusual thing about the file is that one of the rectangles and a few of the letters have a gradient fill applied.
