Sherlock440
Affinity Designer is a cool program, but it has one significant disadvantage - there is no Image Trace function. It seems that this topic was often raised on the forum, and the moderator even answered that the developers are thinking about its creation, but it has not appeared in a year and a half. Do you plan to add it anyway? Otherwise, I don't want to switch to AI just because there is this option (third-party services and other programs like Vectornator cope with it terribly). Dougie060
Designer needs the trace facility. I have no interest whatever in using AI but it's looking like I'm going to need to use it for just one function. Come on guys get it together and add it. 12twlv
Any update on Trace Image for AD yet??
debraspicher
I second this. I've been using Inkscape for the time-being. It has a decent Trace Bitmap functionality, for inks anyway, and the program is open-source (free) on all platforms...

If they don’t work out then I’ll look into Inkscape. Thank you! debraspicher
annewaller
Oh please can we have trace. It is the main reason that I want to use graphics software. I am a complete novice but hoped to trace my physical drawings to create vector graphics to work with. Moo - looks like I will need to do this some other way.
