  1. Hey guys, thanks, I have already understood. please be patient I have stupidism
  2. It sounds like fun but Affinity Photo uses ~3.5 GB of RAM in background even while I have no opened projects. The app doesn't start using so much RAM right away. It starts using it after working with some projects. For example, yesterday I was editing ~10 photos, and today Affinity Photo, which has not been being closed all this time, uses 3.5 GB... And it is not a bug, I have already relaunched the app in the past. After some hours (or after a day) Affinity starts destroying RAM of my Mac. Is this normal? Should I re-installed the app? MacBook Air M1, 16/256 GB, macOS 11.4. Affinity Photo 1.9.3. Affinity Photo.txt
  3. On the Mac, if I close all the windows inside the Affinity app, the Affinity app stays active in the Dock, but you can't open it by clicking on it - nothing happens. To open an "empty" Affinity window, you either have to close the application completely and reopen it, or use the "Open with..." option on images. Affinity." I've been using Affinity for a couple of years now, and I'm wildly annoyed by this ill-conceived feature. Developers, please have Affinity open a blank screen with the option to create a new file or open a picture when you click on Affinity
  4. After double clicking, it does not open a new tab, but the object that is on the clicked layer is approaching. 1.mov
  5. Thank you! It's weird that Affinity doesn't have a guide alignment as one of the settings for the Snap function, but your way also makes life a lot easier.
  6. The button does not appear even if I select 3 objects (see screenshot), but using the "Alignment" button helped. But I think this method works only if my guides are attached to the object borders - I center the middle element between the two outsides. But if I just want to center the element between two guides that are found in random places (not attached to any objects), what then?
  7. If I manually place 2 guides in my desired position (in the example - on the border of blue and yellow circles), how do I center the object (red rectangle) exactly in the center between these guides? I am interested in a simple method that will center automatically or something like that. I know that i can bother and calculate the coordinates of the indents from the left and right borders, but it's too long and difficult - there is probably some simpler method
  8. For example, there's a mockup. I want to past my screenshots into phones screens, but how can i do this? For example, in Photoshop, you need to double-click on a specially selected layer (it will open in a new tab), then insert your screenshot in this new tab, crop it to the desired size, then save this layer and close it. After that, my screenshot will be inserted into smartphone screen at the right angle and in the right orientation. How do I do the same in Affinity Photo?
  9. Affinity Designer is a cool program, but it has one significant disadvantage - there is no Image Trace function. It seems that this topic was often raised on the forum, and the moderator even answered that the developers are thinking about its creation, but it has not appeared in a year and a half. Do you plan to add it anyway? Otherwise, I don't want to switch to AI just because there is this option (third-party services and other programs like Vectornator cope with it terribly).
