Edit in affinity photo from Lightroom 6

Working in Lightroom 6 using the edit in affinity photo. After the edit I cannot get the edited photo back to Lightroom 6 has anyone come across this problem any help welcome

Hi Nick,

I don't use Lightroom, but are they PSD files?

I use Aperture and AP as an external editor. If my files are JPEG or TIFF then AP will save them back into Aperture, but if they are PSD files then AP want's to save in my pictures folder.

I'm not seeing this issue on my home machine. When I save the changes in AFP the image preview in Finder is updated and so is the image in LR.

Hi Leigh. Thanks for your response, when I edit I photograph in affinity photo from lightroom it makes a copy and it opens in affinity, after making the adjustments I save it and where it used to go back to Lightroom it now save it to the original folder where I have two import it back to light room. But I still have the copy which is unaffected by the adjustments which I have just made in affinity Photo I hope this all makes sense to you.

Which makes it quite annoying, I just hope I can get this working correctly soon thanks for your help
