Hi Callum, After edits in AFP and go to FILE>SAVE, it wants to save the file in FINDER / PICTURES folder not back to Aperture

Hi Callum, They are stored in the Aperture Library. When I chose to edit External Editor AFP this makes a copy of the photo in Aperture so leaves the original untouched I also edit in Perfect Photo Suite which makes a copy of the original then saves back into Aperture with out any problem. But I prefer to now edit in AFP

Callum, Aperture - AFP ( as external editor) After adjustments in AFP surely you would have to save the file, but AFP wants to save the file in Finder/pictures, not back in Aperture. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Nick, I don't use Lightroom, but are they PSD files? I use Aperture and AP as an external editor. If my files are JPEG or TIFF then AP will save them back into Aperture, but if they are PSD files then AP want's to save in my pictures folder. Derek

Hello Guys, I have Aperture set to use AP as an external editor. If I send Tiff or Jpeg photos to Ap I can edit and AP saves back to Aperture, but I have to "flatten" them first. Now if I send a PSD to AP edit, AP want to save the photo in my pictures folder, not back into Aperture. Why can't AP save an edited PSD photo back to Aperture? TIA Derek

Hi Allen, I have Aperture set as your screen shoots, but after editing in AP click on save and it wants to save in my 'pictures' folder. I do not get your 3rd screen shot with an option to flatten. Many thanks, Derek

Hi Allan, Is it possible to have AP working with Aperture? At the moment I have all my photos stored in the Aperture Library which I like the way it displays versions of a photo, so I can see how my edits progress. If AP won't work with Aperture, can you recommend a library/software package that would work similar to Aperture. Many thanks, Derek
