revelmo2 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Anybody else have this problem in Affinity Photo ? I try to use File-Save As to save the .afphoto file. It acts like it's saving it, then a message pops up saying "Failed to save because file is open in another program". And the file is not open anywhere else. This has been happening a lot lately. Also, there have been some times when I use File-Save As and the save dialog pops up with the little spinning wheel and the save button greyed out, and it doesn't do anything. The wheel keeps spinning and I have to cancel it. Quote
Paul Bravery Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Hi revelmo2, I've had similar issues with Photoshop on my work Mac, it may be an OS problem. I have Affinity at home, so will see if it happens to me in about 2-3 hours from now. Paul. Quote
Paul Bravery Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Hi revelmo2, I can't seem to replicate the problem. The nearest I had to this problem was on my work Mac, where the file Photoshop file I was saving was visible in the preview column in Finder. Saving it to the Desktop & then dragging to the folder I wanted was my only option. Sorry I can't be more help. Paul. Quote
Staff Andrew Tang Posted July 29, 2015 Staff Posted July 29, 2015 You can try 'Repair Disk Permissions' in the Disk Utility app for all your drives. If you can only save into your Desktop, or your pictures folder, then it is usually a disk permission issue. Paul Bravery 1 Quote
