Hi,

I am new to Affinity Design and I have some questions.

1) I noticed that when I use a brush on Designer Persona, Affinity is smoothing the stroke but on Pixel Persona is does not do the same thing.

Is there a way I can achieve the same effect on Pixel Persona and could I control how smooth is gonna get?

2) Coming from Illustrator the pen tool is a bit weird...

I can't figure out how I can create an object inside of a shape where tow pen toll lines meet. I will leave a SS. I want to create an object where I colored with red.

Is there a way I could see a preview of how my next line is going to look without clicking?

What are some shortcut that I need to know when using pen toll beside the A, as I show that works very well with the pen toll?

Does Affinity has a tool similar with the shape builder tool in Illustrator?

Does Affinity has a tool similar with the smooth tool in Illustrator?

3) Working in Affinity sometime when I do "I don't know what" the hole canvas becomes white and I lose my Artboard. I think this happens if I import something that is bigger then the Artboard itself. I try looking for a tutorial on YouTube about the Artboard and Artboard tool but I couldn't find any good ones.

Can someone link me a good tutorial if there is one?

4)  I saw that Affinity offers possibility to add Unsplash imgs directly from the app, witch is amazing.

Why isn't there the same thing for google fonts? And if it is, where?

Thank you for reading this!

1. The brushes in each persona are different in so much as, one is a raster image (PNG) on a vector curve, this enables manipulation of the position, the other brushes in pixel persona are pixel based and can only be edited on a pixel level.

2. Simply filling it with a colour is way too simple, so Affinity makes it quite a complex process.

  1. The black lines: select the lines and: Layer > Expand Stroke
  2. Layer > Geometry: Add
  3. Layer Geometry: Divide
  4. Colour the bits you want to change the colour of and/or delete the bits you don’t want.

3.You can clip the canvas by pressing Backslash ‘\'

4. Make the suggestion in the feedback forum: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/52-feature-requests-suggestions/
