FEnity Designer Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 I am just starting to use Affinity Designer. I've placed a picture on a layer and wish to copy a part of it and paste it on another layer. How can I do it? Simple Comman+C is not working. Quote
GarryP Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Welcome to the forums. What does the original image look like? What does the part of the image you want to copy look like? What do you want to do with the copied part of the image? What does the place where you want to use the copied part of the image look like? FEnity Designer 1 Quote
walt.farrell Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 And, in the Layers panel, does the image show as a (Pixel) layer or an (Image) layer? If it's an (Image) layer you need to Rasterize it before you can copy part of it. I've been Photoshop for good 18 years and just moved to Affinity as I found it really cool. Please expect more basic questions from me in the near future. Thanks so much for the help Quote
