TEcHNOpls
Hi, I have a file where I have a layer with mask on it, and that layer is just right to the edge. The mask is also up to the edge of the image. In AP it looks ok, but when exporting I get a nasty halo on the edge. 1. In AP 2. Exported image 3. Same image exported, but w/o the offending layer "I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK, I sleep all night, and I work all day..."

TEcHNOpls
As with most of my projects I'd rather have them sent to You directly. "I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK, I sleep all night, and I work all day..."
Staff Gabe Posted April 17, 2020 Staff Share Posted April 17, 2020 Sure thing:https://www.dropbox.com/request/lxdAUI3TLPrU7pnU5p2X TEcHNOpls
TEcHNOpls
Uploading, it's the cartoony layer above most other layers (called Layer1), it's obviously stretched, so that's where I believe error comes from. I'm exporting via export persona. "I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK, I sleep all night, and I work all day..."
Staff Gabe Posted April 17, 2020 Staff Share Posted April 17, 2020 The problem is that mask. Did you start with a smaller mask and the resized it? if so, that's probably why. This is expected as you're technically stretching the same number of pixels over a larger area. Here's a simple example of what's going on. TEcHNOpls
That may be so (I masked the layer in another image/file and then copied that layer with mask over), but: It's not visible on 1:1 zoom I specifically painted over that part with a black brush After I resized the layer. Notice how the mask looks on 1:1 zoom, and yet it's bleeding colour somehow when exporting: Also, the layer ends with the canvas: "I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK, I sleep all night, and I work all day..." TEcHNOpls
The best idea I have right now is that there's somthing wrong with the export mechanism. Like layers first being resized then merged down or something along these lines. "I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK, I sleep all night, and I work all day..." Staff Gabe Posted April 17, 2020 Staff Share Posted April 17, 2020 It's not the layer order. The bug here is the mask not showing correct(stretched)in isolation mode. a resized masked should be feathered, similar to what you see in my video example. TEcHNOpls
I mean, If I brush over it (after stretching) it it still is bleeding on the edges. There's a bug in here for sure, not sure how it happens but it happens. "I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK, I sleep all night, and I work all day..." Staff Gabe Posted April 20, 2020 Staff Share Posted April 20, 2020 It is and it isn't. It does not matter if you brush over the edges or not. Technically, you still have the same(low) number of pixels, but stretched. I logged the issue anyways
TEcHNOpls
Good to know that mask is stretched, not resized. Although it feels like it's resized when painting on it.
