Affinity Designer (Mac) – incorrect *.ai file import

Hi!

I have a problem opening (importing) an AI file in the Affinity Designer: colors/transparency are distorted.

Here is the feature I get (see screenshots) – original .ai and the same after opening in Affinity Designer.

What's wrong? Can you please help me?

I can no longer use my old version of AI CS6 after the Mac has upgraded to a 64-bit Catalina OS. ((

Hi Duke_Jr,

Welcome to the forums

We don't fully support .AI files we only read the PDF stream saved within them so things like this can happen unfortunately.

How did you get your AI CS6 -- it should come with both 32- and 64-bit versions (in same package, no separate purchase) so if you have the installation disc somewhere you should have both versions.
