Unlike many, I have not come to Affinity after years/decades of using other software, so I am both learning general image editing concepts and the specifics of the Photo application.

I made some test images, one includes pure RGB and CYM swatches. I created them using RGB values and based on my understanding of the RGB color wheel. When testing the results using the info panel the CYM values were not as expected. E.g. for cyan as RGB (0, 255, 255) was not CYM (100%, 0%, 0%) but rather (50%, 0%,15%). I know translating between color models is much more complex than between yards and meters, but with the exception of the red swatch the CMY values are substantially different from expected.

I have done a fair bit or reading on Wikipedia about color models, color management, color spaces, translation, color gamut, ICC, etc. so think I know enough of the basic concepts, just not quite enough to figure out what is going on here? Any help appreciated. Thanks
