I am using version 1.8.3 and unfortunately I am near a deadline. The problem seems to be file-related.

For me it seems to be related to missing resources somehow. During my work on this file I always got a message when opening the file, that some resources are missing. I did not care because it seem to have been images I was not needing anyway. Then suddenly out of nothing publisher just closed itself. This keeps happening now with the file always a few seconds after I open it.

When I go into the resources dialog now it won´t crash. But trying to relink the missing resources does not work. I added the two images it keeps on asking for before it crashes but no success. I am doing this to the two images that seem to be missing, resource manager closes..1,2,3 Publisher crashes.

But it first appeared out of nothing. Just when I added 12 blank pages and linked them with master pages. The document has 51 pages in total.

I also tried to embed all images. No success... Publisher crashes after doing it.

If in the dialog manage resources I chose NO, it will crash. If I choose "manage resources" it will crash, too. So I think it has to do with the missing images. But as I said... the fact that they are missing was not a problem the last few days.

I also tried to rename my resources folder.

When opening the file it will now ask me for another images that is missing. I´ll show the new destination. Then the other two images mentioned above are asked for. I show him this locatio, too.... Publisher crashes.

I tried to open the file in Affinity Designer. It works. I deleted all missing images. When trying to save the file Affinity Designer crashes....

I tried to open an earlier version of the file. Some hours before it first crashed. Same result. Even more hours before this... no crash

Any ideas?
