richard gold Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Hello Affinity Aficionados, There I was, merrily rolling along through my Workbook, when I came to the Selection Brush Tool on page 104. While other tools work, I get nothing but a circle cursor that does nothing. No selection boundaries are created. Now what? Thanks, Photodoc16 Quote
walt.farrell Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 It might help if you gave us a screenshot showing the Tools panel on the left, and the Context Toolbar. richard gold Posted April 7, 2020 Author Posted April 7, 2020 Walt, I am having a problem attaching a screen shot to this message. Could I email it to you? If so, what is the email? Thanks, Richard Quote
walt.farrell Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 Do you have a Dropbox or Google Drive or OneDrive or similar account you could save it to? Then you could Share it and give us the URL. That way it wouldn't be private to me, and Serif and other users would be able to help. richard gold Posted April 7, 2020 Author Posted April 7, 2020 Walt, The problem is solved and you would have seen it on the screenshot. In the context toolbar, the ADD selection was not activated and only the SUBTRACT selection was active. When ADD was selected, the Selection Brush did work. A bit embarrassing and I feel badly that I dragged you into this for such a silly oversight. Maybe next time I will have a 'real' question. Thanks, Richard Quote
walt.farrell Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 You're welcome, Richard. And you're certainly not the first person to have encountered that. I might have even guessed that, and suggested it initially, rather than asking for a screenshot, except I prefer not to guess (but that one's common enough that maybe I should have simly guessed).
