Violinman
Hello, I have only been using Affinity Photo for a short while and am finding swatches and pallets quite confusing! I open several images and then need to change the background colour, always to the same colour, I have tried to save the custom colour as a global colour to a new global swatch but it is only available for the image/document that I am currently working on! Any help much appreciated please. On a different note, is it possible to have tools such as the "flood selection tool" remember the last settings used such as Tolerance or will it always revert to 20%? Many thanks, Brian

Global colors are document-specific. Swatches/palettes for the application or system cannot have Global colors in them. If they could contain Global colors then there would be an implication that changing them would affect all documents that had previously used them, which would be impossible to implement. But you can make an Application palette, or (on Mac) a System palette, that will be available across all your documents. Put your non-global color in that palette.
