photog
Hello, what 'Camera Profile' uses AP to develop Fuji's raws (RAF, Fuji X-T1) ? The results are poor compared to PS CameraRaw. AP's develop Assistant is enabled in Develop Persona. - Oryk totoff 1 Quote - Oryk (MBpro 12" Retina)
totoff
That's true unfortunately. Many details are lost in AP compared to ACR and colors appear weird/not neutral sometimes. Room for improvement ...
photog
It takes more than 10 seconds to open a RAF-file. Quote - Oryk (MBpro 12" Retina)
coranda
Have you tried disabling the Assistant? In general, no two RAW convertors are likely to produce exactly the same image with their default settings because there are no definitively correct default conversion parameters. Have you tried to alter the parameters in the develop persona to get the look you are after? If you can find that set of values then create a preset and you may be able to get the default processing your after. Paul Bravery
totoff
Have you tried disabling the Assistant? Yes I did and got acceptable results with gradation curves. However, I see a significant loss of details in middle tones. E.g. gray hairs in a portrait. While in ACR there are still tones in the darker areas in AP all I get is "mud" - no details at all. Just an example. Sorry for my English, I'm not a native speaker.
photog
I make the same experience as totoff replied. In Develop Assistant I can check 'Apply tone curve'. Which tone curve ? Quote - Oryk (MBpro 12" Retina)
JimGoshorn
It would appear to be an auto tone curve of some sort. If you are not happy with the results, that would be the first thing to disable in the assistant and see if the results improve. One thing I have been wondering about is how dependent is Serif on Apple's RAW system updates? Do those updates affect how they are able to process the RAW files? r10k
That's a great question. But this issue is seen without any kind of tone curve that can be adjusted in the app. (ie: the Assistant off)
