I’m new to AD on iPad.... I imported an image from Procreate and then drew my vector work over it...it won’t export as an SVG (or anything else) it just says generating image forever.  I successfully exported another image as SVG so its not my device.  I’m sure I’m doing something wrong.  I couldn’t find a solution on the forums.  Thanks

Hi Glassdraw, Can you save it as .afdesign and upload here for testing. Mods can provide a download link if you prefer not to share publicly.

I’m aware that there is no auto trace, but I thought you could manually draw on top of a raster image to end up with an exportable vector image.  I’m a wrong about this?  Thanks for any advice.

Yes you can do that.
I suspect the technique you used to draw what is in effect a simple drawing, has resulted in the production of so many curve layers that the iPads ram is unable to cope.
I will be interested to read what the mods say is the issue.
in the meantime I did a quick version using pen tool. Small file with around 15 layers. SVG no issue.
