Luna9192 Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Hello! I know this is going to sound really confusing but I will try to break it down the best I can. I bought The hundred dollar brush pack that contained all sorts of various brushes in hopes it would help with some of my designs but here is my problem- I design T-shirts but my print press is only doing 1 color so I have to design the T-shirts in a way where the color of the t-shirt is used as well as the ink. So here is my problem. I drew a Tree a solid tree and I used a brush that was a bark texture. I'm trying to cut out that bark texture on the tree so when I print the T-shirt the natural black of the t-shirt color will make it look realistic. I have tried expanding it, I've tried the booline (sorry if I got that wrong.) but it just basically turns the bark texture into a solid giant blob, all the brushes are vector so I'm not understanding why its not working? I am still getting used to the program I'm mainly a adobe user but recently switched over to affinity in the past few months. Quote
Dan C Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 Hi Luna9192, Welcome to the forums The vector brushes in Affinity are unfortunately not 'true vector' and instead use a bitmap stretched/repeated along a vector path. Does setting the blend mode of the vector brush layer to 'Erase' achieve what you're looking for? If not, could you please provide a screenshot or further explanation of what you're trying to achieve? Many thanks in advance! Quote
