Eifion Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 Today I found that I can't export to PDF from publisher or designer for both the attached documents created today. The publisher file is converted from pdf. I simply receive an error message, no matter what PDF settings I choose. LAC_Application_Pack_Web.afpub LAC_Transit_Van_1.afdesign Quote
thomaso Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 Hi Eifion, Welcome to the Affinity forums! If reporting about an error message it's always useful to either copy/paste the message text or to upload a screenshot. I can export your entire LAC...afpub with preset "for print" (PDF 1.7) successfully. Because I don't have your fonts "Noto" and "Advent" it might prevent the error message if you either try another font / or rasterize the according layers before export / or, faster but affecting all text, choose in Export > More > Embed Fonts: Text as Curves. There is a known issue in Affinity on export with older font files, mostly older Postscript fonts. Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
Eifion Posted February 25, 2020 Author Posted February 25, 2020 Hi Thomaso, Thank you for your help. Once I embedded the Adventist Sans font, everything worked fine. I'll make sure to keep this in mind in the future. Quote
thomaso Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 Glad you worked it out. I guess you meant converting to curves, not embedding it, right? Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
