Recommended Posts

(sorry for my English) Main features of Pencil tool that is a switching point from Illustrator to Affinity design for me is

1. automatic closing path and automatic re shape when draw near path line

2. smooth path line when drag (like in illustrator press alt. key and drag around path line, it will smooth) feathers

Please make it happen it will be great!!! 100% switch to Affinity designer

Hello @Sleepy Panda,

welcome to the forum. Look for 'Sculpt Mode' (icon on the toolbar) and turn it on. It lets you reshape a path.

To close a path you have to switch to the Node Tool. This does not work automatically, yet.
