Guide to snap to a curve node

How do I get a guide to snap to a curve node? It only snaps to edge and certer points.

Unfortunately at the moment there is no way to easily do this I'm afraid. You can find a work around for this here:

thanks! This is the exact workaround I came up with although it's pretty cumbersome. It should be a basic functionality (after five years ).
