Murfee
Hi @Cath100, Welcome to the forums, could you post a screenshot showing your layers panel when this happens, it could be that the jpg has a clipping path
Cath100
Hi Murfee Thanks for the reply. Is this what you're looking for?
Murfee
Hi @Cath100, Yes, if you click the arrow to the left of the background you will see there are 2 clipping paths, if you click the arrow to the right on the one that is still visible you will see the whole picture 😀
Cath100
Hi @Murfee Thanks - that's worked. I sort of know what a clipping path is but I've no idea how to undo one. I am evaluating Affinity to use for cropping and optimising images for websites, replacing Photoshop which is a bit expensive just for that task. Thanks Cath
Murfee
Just now, Cath100 said: I sort of know what a clipping path is but I've no idea how to undo one You could delete the layer that has the path or untick it to make it invisible. They are created by using a vector shape to mask the image, then when the jpg is exported there is an option to turn clips to paths. Glad that you are sorted Cath100
