AP: Automatically unhide a hidden selection

Hi,

it is time consuming when a selection shall be changed and first the unhide button (Ctrl+h) needs to be activated. Even more confusing is, that the hide function works no matter if a selection is available or not.

Recommendation:
1. The hide function Ctrl+h only works when a selection (marching ants) are shown.
2. Hidden marching ants automatically appear, when a selection is altered (e.g. via Alt + mouse drag) or a new selection is started.

3. Allow Ctrl + mouse drag to add to a selections. That would be a more consistant approach (Alt to substact and Ctrl to add) and it is eaiser to use than the right mouse button in combination with the left mouse button.

Anyway, +1.

I especially miss automatic unhide when I create a new selection. It usually takes some time to figure out that it really does something but I can't see it because I hid selection some 15 minutes ago. I think most people creating a new selection want to see it so it does not make sense to keep it hidden.
