Orthopteroid Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 (edited) I am on the hunt for the best vector freehand-sketching tool with a high degree of input precision. I really want Affinity to be that for me, except I can't seem to find how to adjust the number of control points rendered for each stroke. What currently happens is that, despite stabilizer turned off, my lines are being too "simplified." For example, I do a lot of zigzag hatching in my work, which have very tight direction changes. After I release and the stroke is created, those acute angles kind of "bubble out" because AD is simplifying/smoothing my stroke into fewer points than I would like. Is there a way to change this, somehow? Thanks. Edited January 2, 2020 by Orthopteroid Quote
Dan C Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 Hi Orthopteroid, Welcome to the forums Unfortunately there's no way to currently disable Stroke Smoothing, this has been requested previously and is something we hope to add in a future update. In the meantime, I'll move this thread to the Feedback section of our forums, I hope this helps! Quote
Orthopteroid Posted January 3, 2020 Author Posted January 3, 2020 Ah, sorry to hear. I will forego purchasing then, but keep checking back. In the meantime, if anyone knows of currently-available vector sketching software specialized to these things, I'm all ears. Quote
