renia Posted December 25, 2019 Posted December 25, 2019 I've seen posts mentioning that incorrect rendering of Khmer fonts has been fixed in AD/AP 1.7.2 (i.e. this post and this post). Yet I still don't find Affinity Publisher 1.7.3.481 (Trial, Windows 10) does the job correctly with Khmer fonts including AKbalthom font series (e.g. AKbalthom Freehand) and all the Khmer OS font series (e.g. Khmer OS Battambang), see the attached screenshot below. Notice that, I followed the suggestion from this post, setting the Typography script to Khmer. With Akblalthom font series, the ligature option can be set, but it still doesn't render correctly. With the font Khmer OS Battambang, or other Khmer OS font series, the ligature cannot be set (disabled). Correctly rendered text should look like the following screenshot (using Adobe World-Ready Paragraph in InDesign). Please kindly look into the issue. What's more, kindly look into justified alignment of the Khmer fonts. The fonts have been notorious for justified alignment issue from my experiences with InDesign. Thanks a lot.
