2mi Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Please forgive me if this is a easy thing to do and i've simply overlooked it...but is there a way to have Publisher package/collect all files (linked images, fonts) used in a Publisher file once you've completed the job. For 2 reasons mainly; so you can save everything used in the job and transfer it to a backup drive....or if you wanted to send it to someone else using Publisher so they can work on it. Thank you kindly for any help. Quote
Joachim_L Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 With the Publisher Beta the collect feature was introduced. Still this is far from perfection, since this function does not collect all types of files or fonts. 2mi Posted December 20, 2019 Author Posted December 20, 2019 Dankeschön Joachim for your reply. Was the collect feature only in the Beta version? I have version 1.7.2...and i have searched again through all the menus, but cannot find something called 'collect'. Or is it called something else? Quote
Joachim_L Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 Right now, this feature is only in the beta 1.8x. Curious: Latest stable version is 1.7.3.x, why not updating? A ... hmm ... workaround would be having all files embeded, than make them linked again. With this you can specify a folder where all the files should go. 2mi Posted December 23, 2019 Author Posted December 23, 2019 Thank you again for your reply, and the suggestion to embed files. I decided to manually collect all files and fonts - it was only a small job. Thank you also for mentioning version 1.7.3. The app store, where i bought it from, didn't automatically alert me to the update. But there is an update button on the app store when i visit the Publisher page. Just tried now to update...app store seems to be stalling/hanging on the download...i'll try again tomorrow. Thanks again for your help. Quote
