hidemat
If I have a subtracted shape like the one in the screen shot. Is it possible to "Direct Select" the flower that is within the circle directly, in order to copy and pasted the just the flower without the circle? I tried with the node tool, but was only able to select individual segments or nodes.
firstdefence
Technically there is no flower just a shape that has a flower hole, take a look at compound shapes this retains the objects to edit in a special group that you can use Boolean operations in. hidemat
Well yeah it is indeed a flower hole. I hate to compare to illustrator, but in AI i was able to select this flower hole, and copy and paste it some where. I actually managed to delete the circle by breaking one of the circle nodes. I was just curious to see if it was possible, because that's a lot of extra steps I'm not used to.
Dazzler
You can use the divide tool on that curves layer to end up with two separate curve layers. I think that's what you're looking for.
