Randomhacks Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 I'm trying to remove selected points from within a set of curves. I am using the Node Tool. I can select the points and delete them. However, when I select the points and then try to cut them (using ctrl-x or right click cut) the whole set of curves are cut and not just the selected points. You could label this a feature but I suspect it is actually a bug because it essentially makes the whole node cutting and pasting useless.
Staff MEB Posted November 12, 2019 Staff Posted November 12, 2019 Hi Randomhacks, Welcome to Affinity Forums Currently you can't cut or copy a segment (or the nodes) from a path in Designer. You either copy the whole thing and delete the nodes you don't want to end up with the segment you want or duplicate the path and break the nodes (with the Node Tool, Break Curve button from the action section in the context toolbar) that surround the segment you want so it becomes independent from the rest of the path. This is not a bug, it's just an area with room for improvement (direct segment manipulation). A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
