Missing Content on placed pdfs

Recommended Posts

When placing a CAD exported pdf like the one attached, the point pattern is incomplete in Designer / Publisher. Also the line patterns are needless divided.

I´ve got no problems with the same file in InDesign / Illustrator.

Is there a internal size-limit for vector based pdfs? Is there a way to get around this, unfortunately placing them as picture file (jpeg, tiff, ...) is no option.

Affinity can only open and use the PDF portion of an Adobe file, the rest is proprietary adobe which Affinity cannot use.

Are you wanting to edit this file in Affinity?

I've just opened this file in Illustrator, the patterns have the same behaviour, being grouped into lines of dashes just like Affinity so the pattern problem is inherent in the PDF and not an issue with Affinity. Which CAD app did this come from?

Unfortunately bitmaps are no option, cause i´m loosing the sharpness of the lines, as well as my files send to the plotter will be huuuuge (A0 with floor plans, sections, views, renderings....) using highres bitmaps.

So, sadly it seems i have to stay with Adobe for that purposes.
