Best practices for large project with many drawings

Recommended Posts

Hi, i'm just wondering if there are any best practices that would help organise layers and artboards in large projects? I'm currently working on a childrens book and trying to figure out whether it's better to separate out every drawing into a separate file, or to put them all in one file using artboards. The problem with I'm finding is that if I do artboards, the layers panel seems to get overloaded and AD sometimes seems to randomly group sections of one drawing to sections of another (I'm guessing it's just the way I'm incorrectly trying to use AD).

Thanks.

- Smaller file size = faster Affinity application work,

- More security - if the file is damaged, the entire work will not be lost.

- Clearer Layers Panel,

- More complicated use of resources (drawings, pictures) - Assets and Linking can be used.

- Easier organization,

- Easier sharing of resources such as Symbols,

As for the book, you will probably use APublisher, in which you will insert (link) individual drawings created in ADesigner, and pictures/photos created and edited in APhoto.
