In the Develop Persona in the Overlay area: 1. Click on the gradient tool icon. 2. Create a gradient by dragging from top to bottom. Result: Gradient appears as coming across from the right edge of the image. Re-tested and this time drew a gradient from the left edge into the image and the result was a gradient was created from top to bottom. Windows 10 Version 2004 OS Build 19041.450

Can some one explain how I can add noise to my gradient overlay under FX.. I’m using an IPad. thank you Dan

For illustration. I have a blue square, over it the same yellow square, so blue can not be seen (so it's off), and the green circle is above. Clipp both squares with a circle. On the left yellow square I use Gradient overlay (fx). Meanwhile (in Vector view mode), this is identical, but if I give Pixel view mode, there is a difference in their rendering (at the edges). The difference is even more pronounced, when the "hidden/overlaid" blue squares are turned on. They are completely overlaid with a yellow square so they should not be seen at all, like the right side without a gradient, where the switching has no effect at all. To get it render right, I had to replace the Gradient Overlay (fx) with a normal gradient (Fill Tool). It's a pity, that the Blend mode (as in Gradient Overlay) can not be set in Gradient (Fill Tool), so I had to add another layer. Bug, gradient overlay.afdesign

I’ve read a couple of topics about gradient overlay FX. On my I pad I find that I can only change the color on the left stop, can not delete a stop and can not move a stop. However, if I turn that effect OFF and then I turn it ON again, I can then change color of any stop, can delete a stop and can move a stop.

Steps to repeat: 1. New document. 2. Sketch a rectangle on the page. 3. Tick Gradient Overlay in the right side panel to Enable it. 4. Click the cog icon to the right of Gradient Overlay to display the Layer Effects dialog. 5. Change Blend Mode to anything other than Normal to see the vertical line bug. Note that I just purchased version 1.1.0 from the MAS and discovered this bug about 15 minutes into playing around in a new CMYK document. Thanks.
