Aero requirement to run the Software We require Desktop Windows Management Composition, rather than native Graphics drivers. This is natively on for Windows 8 and 10, but on Windows 7 this is most easily achieved by turning Aero ON. If you are not willing to turn the Aero theme on there is a work around described in this post, but any issues when running the software won't be logged unless they've been verified as still occurring with DWM Composition enabled. 2. Hello all, my app crashed fo an unknown reason and and since then I have not been able to re-open it any more. I have tried to uninstall it and reinstall again several times. I have tried to delete all related AP files. Without success. Each time I try to open the app, I need to force quit, otherwise it eats up all my ressources on my MAC Someone any idea what is wrong and how to solve the issue? Many thanks Chris System macOS Sierra Processor: 3,3 GHz Intel Core i5 Memory: 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
  3. I tried to install this update but I keep getting "Another installation is taking place, please finish that first", but nothing else is installing. I tried to uninstall the previous version but that won't work because it too says "finish the current installation first". Now I can't go forwards or backwards or use the software. Clicking the shortcut just comes up with "This Beta is expired". Now what? (Widows 10, Anniversary update)
  4. Hi There, I am trying to install Affinity Designer Beta, but I am getting an error as soon as I try to run the program. The error says "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher" I am running Windows 10. Please assist
  5. Hi I was trying to install Affinity to D:/ ( a 256GB microSD) on my little go-to laptop running x64 Windows 10 Home Edition. Either by design or bug Affinity doesn't give the option to browse outside of C:/ When I wrote in D:/ to make it go to the correct folder I then got the following error: Not sure if there's a reason for this or it's just a bug but it's a bit of a pain to be locked out of other drives or partitions, please let me know if this is fixed in future.
  6. Installer freezes, I have the latest version of VC++ Redistributable installed (screenshot)

  8. I’m a type designer and like to test my fonts in Affinity apps. There is one problem. If you re-install the same font with slight changes in Font Book, the systems font caches are corrupted. For me that means cleaning them and restarting every 10 minutes. Indesign (and all Adobe design apps) have the ability to load fonts from a folder in 'Application Support/Fonts' and from a 'Fonts' folder that is next to the document (the later option makes it much more convenient to work with different people on the same file). As soon as you change the font, Adobe apps will reload it and update the document. MacOS provides great APIs to activate fonts per app so this is technically possible.
  9. Hello Im a new user to affinity. i heard of this program from people. when i used photoshop. due to bad customer service and basically just scamming people. Because i had a perpetual licence but now it is not ''valid'' anymore. a licence where i paid hundreds of euros for. So im done with that company, adobe that is. Now i heard there was a competitor who is as i must rumors believe. way cheaper and have a better bussines model for consumers. it will probably mean i have the learn a new program but. i would not mind if i escaped form adobe. THE QUESTION: so i have first a 10 day trail. and the file that it downloaded is a dmg file. maybe a noob question. But what is a dmg file and how do i use it or open it. and install it. the file name is: Affinity+Photo+Trial.dmg so if somebody can help me with this. i would be happy. thanks in advance for your help :) with kind regards segert vorster
  10. Hi all, Please feel free to move this post to appropriate forum. I am completely new to both Affinity and Mac updates. Having purchased and installed Affinity a few days ago, had started using it without problems, yesterday was prompted by iTunes to upgrade to yosemite on mac air. Now Affinity is unresponsive. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but now it is showing 'waiting' on the install page. where do i go, people? what should i do?
