  1. Affinity Designer 2.3.0 / MacOS 13.6.1 / MacBook Pro M1 + Studio Display When I have 2 or more documents open and I "undock" one document using Float View to Window or simply grabbing its tab away from application frame, this window floats above application frame and I can move it to external monitor or arrange it side by side with application frame with other opened documents. BUT when I try to close this floating document, on its place stays empty window frame that is impossible to close. I had to revert to Designer 2.2.1. Also check boxes (or tick boxes) in dark mode are dark and barely visible, at least at Document Setup.
  2. I'm a relative newbie using AD. I have a number of open tabs in AD and wanted to take a side-by-side screenshot of two versions of a diagram I'm making (each exists in a different tab). I assumed I'd be able to select a given tab and just move it to its own window but couldn't figure out how to do that, so I did what I can do in many other Mac apps and just dragged a tab out onto an empty spot outside the AD window. That got me another window, but not what I wanted. In addition, I then couldn't figure out how to close that window - even though it had the 3 traffic lights in the top left corner it refused to close. I tried a few other things and in the end I think what I did was a "Float View to Window" operation, however now I have two blank windows that can't be closed. If I quit AD and start it up again those two blank windows come up again - they can't be closed and now I have to put up with them all the time. I'm assuming this is a bug because windows were created that can't be closed (despite my dumb attempts at what I was trying to do). I'm using AD 2.3.0 and running macOS 12.7.1 (Monterey) on a 2019 Intel MacBook Pro.
  3. How do I close these empty windows? The red button is inactive, the yellow and green buttons work normally. In the window menu, the merge all windows option is grayed out. Mac Monterey 12.7.2 Rebooting the mac does nothing
  4. Following the release of Affinity 2.3, our team have discovered an issue on macOS where when floating (Window > Float) and then redocking a document, correctly redocks the canvas, but creates an empty document window over this - which cannot be directly closed. Our team have been made aware of this issue and we're working to resolve it as soon as possible. Currently, our team have only found these windows can be closed when closing or restarting the Affinity main app. Our apologies for any inconveniences caused for this in the meantime.
  5. I once accidentally clicked "float view to window" and by closing the window, the view was back to the main affinity art board. However, the window that was created for the floating view cannot be closed. Trying to float the view again and close it create another blank window (see attached). quit and reopening the app does not solve the problem. I'm on MacOS 12.7.2 and the software version is 2.3.0. Any idea how I can report the bug to the development team? Thanks.
  6. 1. I reset the beta apps so that I can see if this is a recurrent bug. 2. Open a new file in Affinity Designer Beta. Type in only text so that we have an art object. 3. Save and Close file: The file closes as expected and the Designer app is still on the screen. 4. Open the file. Create a new view. There shoud be two tabs on the workspace with the different views. 5. In one tab, zoom around and then Window > Float View to Window. Move Window to another screen is available. Save file. 6. Go to Window > Merge All Windows > The current Floating Window empties and the file goes back to the default Workspace. But the Floating Window remains on the screen. The window does not close even when the Mac Window Close (Red) button is clicked. 7. Close the file with the tabs in the default workspace after merging windows. The file closes as expected. 8. Open file. View > New View. The new View will appear in a Floating Window. > Close the File. Affinity Designer 2.3.0.2165 crashes. I tried this with the Affinity Designer 2.3.0 EULA and it behaved the same way. CONCLUSION: I believe the bug is with the fact that the Floating Windows don't close and a window was to be closed, it would hand over it View content to a tab on the Workspace.
  7. It's one of the biggest bugs I ever seen in my life. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I open two images and make one of them "Float to window". If I close the floting window one empty window will be there with no possibility to close. If I do that 5 times I then have 5 empty windows in front of the main window. If I would click "Close all windows" only the main window will be closed and the 5 empty window will still be there. Even after a restart of Affinity Photo. This is an unbelievable bug. In this way Affinity Photo is not usable anymore. Please fix that as fast as possible. It's an absolute nightmare. I have to earn money and this is not a cosmetic problem. 8. Hi, I recently encountered a strange issue in Affinity Publisher 2.3.0 which I can’t seem to rid myself of. It’s difficult to describe outside the screenshot, but whenever I open Publisher there are now two empty, floating windows that refuse to close when I click the X button. Resetting views doesn’t get rid of them. “Merge All Windows” doesn’t either. They float atop my workspace and block my view unless I minimize them to the taskbar, which is a temporary fix but won’t get rid of them. They return in full view every time I open Affinity. Does anyone know what these windows are or how to get rid of them? Thanks!
