  1. Hello, In doing astrophotography, these two features are really essential. I really love using AP for editing, but it becomes nearly impossible to with astrophotography because it's missing these two features. Especially because AP has features like LAB, it could be a really great tool potentially - and I don't think (at least the median mode) is very difficult to implement. They're useful for stacking photos - when taking pictures of the night sky without a tracker, you're limited in the exposure length you can use, because the Earth is rotating. To get a useful picture, you really need an exposure with at least ISO 3200, making very noisy images. The solution is to take multiple pictures and align them in post, and then use a median filter to remove the noise (which is incredibly effective). It's useful for other things as well - basically any noise reduction. There are perfectly clear stacks of images taken at ISO 25,600 or higher - and the median filter can get rid of people walking in front of a landscape, for example. My point is, these are really useful features for everyone and could add a lot to the abilities of AP and make it a very appealing software for another group of photographers.
  2. Hi guys, I have a 1 thing that is really bothering me since beta. In affinity I still cant make 1px stroke icons because of the "always center" curve align that cant be changed. Its ok with shapes, but because of the strange logic it cant be done with unclosed curves like in illustrator. Here is the example: Left I made a small rectangle with 1 px stroke. Pixel align is on and it have inside aligned stroke. Right I have converted it to curves and broke one corner point. Voila, and there is nothing to do with that, except turning of pixel align and trying to place it manually (!) in sub pixel space and repeat it 10 times because after export you will still get blurred edges. Thanks
  3. Try this: 1. Make 2 Text Art objects, one above the other 2. Select both objects, click on the Alignment fly-out palette, and click on Right Align (Selection Bounds) 3. Press Escape to deselect objects 4. AD reverts the objects to their original location PLEASE make pressing the Escape key the UNIVERSAL equivalent for DESELECTING objects. Again, decades of muscle memory...
  4. Living on an island, many of my photographs have scenes with the ocean. Need a way to make the ocean horizon level/straight. This is typically done by placing a straight line along the horizon then cropping the image to align the ocean/horizon. If this feature in already available, I can not find it.
  5. How can this be done? I can center the text horizontally. Would also be great to be able to write text in an object like in Apples „Pages“.
  6. I've tried looking around to no avail. Is there a way to align or distribute objects to the art board rather than to each other? Thanks!
