  1. Yes, I can confirm this is really difficult to distinguish items on the screen, especially in the Assets section. Please consider this an enhancement request. Best, Russell
  2. I am experiencing the very same issue with an iPad Air 3 running the latest version of AP: it crashes with almost every file. The only time it doesn’t crash is with files having a very low resolution. Try something like 256 x 256 and make a refined selection: that should work. I think there’s something wrong with memory management. Please Serif: support the iPad Air better (there are also other model specific issues I’ve reported). Best regards Russell
  3. I‘ve recently reported the same issue to the forum: The crash is reproducible: 1. Load image file 2. make a selection and refine it 3. select Output „New layer“ or „ New layer with mask“ => CRASH Interestingly enough, with some images it works, but the majority lead to the error. My setting under „Applying filters to vector layers“ is „Rasterise layer and apply“. Only workaround would be to manually rasterise the layer prior to step 2, but I would expect Affinity Photo to manage this, at least not crash. Hope this bug gets fixed soon..
  4. I have a Affinity Photo 1.9.2 running on an iPad Air 3rd generation with latest iOS. As soon as I refine a selection of an image and try to insert it as a new layer or a new layer with mask, Photo crashes. I can only prevent application from crashing with this approach when I convert image to pixel beforehand. The app should not crash and the user should be informed that a conversion to pixel is necessary, ideally would be conducted automatically.
  5. Hi Sean, Obviously, I am not the only one experiencing this issue. Is this now officially tracked as a bug? Best, Russell
  6. this happens regardless of AirPlay connection or any external devices connected, no accessibility options selected
  7. Hi Sean yes: restarted and no: problem still exists app connected to AirPlay, interestingly only the canvas visible i.e. no tools. Is this now reported as a bug?
  8. I wanted to resize the canvas applying anchor points, but I am only able to select the top row because the anchor grid is not fully visible; see screenshot. It doesn’t matter if I’m in landscape or in portrait mode. Is anyone else experiencing this? 😯 Using an iPad Air 3 with Affinity Designer 1.9.1 running latest iOS.
  9. I can confirm this behavior. I use the Affinity Photo iPad version 1.9.1. I created a new project, switched to the home screen and hit save. By default, it’s saving project onto my iCloud drive. Then I switched to File Manager and copied the file onto my Onedrive. Assuming everything was saved properly, I deleted the Project from iCloud, closed it in the home screen and exited Affinity Photo. A day later I started Affinity Photo, selected Open from Cloud, switched to my Onedrive folder and opened my project. Then I conducted some changes, switched to the home screen and hit save (even more than once). Again, assuming it was saved properly I closed the document and exited the app. Later that day, I tried to repeat the same steps but when opening the project, it had the content from the first day i.e. all may changes were lost! I have no idea where the changes were saved if at all. I experience no issues when saving to and opening from iCloud or another storage location. PLEASE HELP! 😫
  10. ‚Grander plans … when we do the big reveal in the future' — it is now the year 2020 and nothing has happened in this respect. Pity! ☹️
  11. Ok, so that makes sense. So it’s the manageability that’s the factor, and not the functionality…
  12. As a novice user: with all the appraisals for how AP handles a lot of features and functions non-destructively I'm beginning to wonder: if I had the choice, when would I better go with the destructive approach? Or is it a matter of manageability? Or any other aspects? Appreciate your feedback! Russell
  13. With the Pen tool, go ahead and create a 5-sided star (see star_empty_center.png). You see the pentagon in the center being empty. What I want is for the center to be filled (see star_filled_center.png). => My current "workaround": duplicate the (star) shape select both shapes and apply boolean "Divide" to segregate the 5 triangles with Node Tool: for each triangle, break and remove the line that belongs to the pentagon select all triangles and apply "Join curves" It's cumbersome, but it works. My question: is there any simple way / an option to tell AD (before or after drawing the curve) to fill any overlapping areas to make it look solid ?
  14. I love this application, on Windows as well as on iOS. It has sooo many cool features and a great UI. But lacking support for a fullscreen-mode on Windows?? Honestly: screen real-estate is THE crucial aspect when it comes to any illustration program. So please, Affinity Team: let's develop a real full screen (pressing F11 is standard). For now, pressing TAB has to do...
