  1. @Andy Failing to save doesn't seem to be a problem anymore although the "edit in" extension is no longer in Photos.
  2. I was wondering if I could get some clarification on this: - Fixed “Edit In” extension (you will need the latest macOS Sierra beta). Is this a fix for the save error I was getting?
  3. For some reason it didn't save the attachment but the error message said: Failed to save doc. Apple Photos doc Save failed because the file was already open in another application. Oddly it seems that all the changes were brought over to Apple Photos but I can't see the changes when I open it in Affinity.
  4. I keep getting this error when trying with the new edit in Affinity Photo extension.Schedule Schedule Schedule
  5. ScheduleR C-R Can I make "scale with object" to be the default so I don't have to select it each time?
  6. Dave, When I made my original post I don't think the extensions feature was available, at least not from within Photos. I have now used extensions from Affinity and Pixelmator and they work great! It's a pretty neat idea to use the features inside of the program rather then having to switch to the more advanced program if you only need a few features. It would be nice if there was a way to have those features come up by default so they wouldn't even have to be selected each time you click edit.
  7. While you are making changes to save and open could you also incorporate the standard way that Mac apps let you save from the menu bar? Also the duplicate, rename, move to, revert to, features are enormously helpful rather then having to switch over to the Finder to search for those files and then work with them. Tagging files seems especially problematic since when I save them from the save as menu they don't get saved. I usually have to go into the Finder to save those tags. Schedule
  8. Too big! There wasn't a note about maximum file size so I didn't try to downscale far enough. It might be helpful tell people about the file size limit when they upload. Thanks for the help.
  9. I took down my old profile pic and tried uploading a new one but nothing happened. Is this a bug?
  10. Bug: My screen will flicker most times when I add a shape or make a click with the pen tool. At times the artboard will disappear and other times everything will disappear. El Capitan, 2016 MacBook.
  11. Having search boxes in panels is always important especially when you are working on a compact screen. Without the search box you have to do a lot of tedious scrolling a small space. This is made worse if you have several panels stacked on top of each other. The reason I thought of quick apply is it uses the same search box in the center of the screen that the last two versions of macOS spotlight use (and Bulter, Launchbar, etc.) I don't think Adobe has brought this tool to their other apps yet... I wonder why? It might be something to think about for future versions but I probably wouldn't put it at the top of the list. Schedule
  12. I am really glad the eye picker is so much easier to use now! Using the "I" button for the shortcut makes sense to me and keeps it consistent with Adobe programs which many people will keep using for quite some time. I would like to know more about the styles spotlight like search. Are you talking about the search box at the top of the text styles palette? Or is this some kind of "quick apply" like tool like in InDesign? With quick apply you fit command spacebar and get a spotlight like tool to apply an attribute to an object.
  13. By the way I should mention that this isn't my primary machine. I am not trying to do all my work on my MacBook. I am sure there is some heavy duty graphics work that would bring it to it's knees.
  14. With Affinity I mainly do vector. My photography setup with is mostly with Lightroom since I need the cataloging and batch processing features.
  15. I just bought one of the new MacBooks and Affinity works great! In fact canvas rotation works MUCH better. I still don't get smooth 360º canvas rotation on my other computer with my Wacom Tablet. So far only Apple's track pad gives me that.
  16. To a lot of people Illustrator is not a very well liked program. I see no value in making a clone of Illustrator without a subscription. The first time I used Affinity I was overjoyed that it was not exactly the same.
  17. I wonder if most people would skip downloading the minor bug fix update to check out the release with the major new features? Since people already have a stable version of the product most might not bother with small bug fix update.
  18. Yeah, some of the menu items could go to the Window menu. I could also see something like a new layout menu where you could put items like guides, rulers, snapping, etc. Then again when Serif comes out with the layout program it will be entirely based around layout so maybe that wouldn't make sense.
  19. I have always thought that the view menu was extremely long. It would be helpful if there was a way to cut that in half by reassigning some menu items to different places. I haven't taken the time to figure how that would be done.
  20. Exporting to another format is what I have been doing at the moment. Having just one version of the file would be preferable but maybe it's not possible to make a plugin that can do that.
  21. Ok good. I have heard some mixed reviews on how well it worked so it helps to get a lot of confirmation from others. I just noticed 10.11.2 came out this morning so it looks like it might be a good time to update. I am downloading it now.
  22. I know that a lot of people here are using the CS6 Suite on Mac so I wanted to ask if anyone is using it on El Capitan?
