I'm on a 2017 ipad pro. Latest version doesn't do it as often, but still often times I will switch from affinity photo to another app, come right back and it's starting up again at the login screen. Reset etc didn't seem to make any difference.

This is driving me. INSANE! I've used Affinity Photo on my iPad for a few years now. I always keep it up to date and am running the newest version. For a few versions now, when I switch to another application and come back, Affinity Photo is restarting instead of just being where I left off. It never used to do this but now that it does it's difficult to use it at all as I have to save and exit a project and then start again when I have to simply change focus to look something up. HOW DO I FIX THIS?

I didn't know which forum to post this in and I've never actually written one of these but had to speak up. As a user of Photoshop and Illustrator for 20 years, I am blown away. It took just a little while to get up to speed with Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer, but I'm in love and I can't go back to my desktop. Your software is AMAZING and I am able to do everything I need to do with the new dimension of touching the screen. I can't tell you how much I appreciate what you have created. I had one issue and you took care of it swiftly. Now if you would create an iPad After Effects killer I would just work on the beach. Keep up the great work you guys!

Apparently I uploaded one of the incorrect photos - the issue is that when making the exact same export selections photoshop exports a much smaller file size. Creating art in Affinity then having to open it in photoshop to save it at a useful file size is kind of crazy. I believe I saw a message about them having an issue outputting reasonable file sizes. Sorry for the delay. Attached are 2 images, same save settings, one from photoshop save for web and one exported from affinity. The photoshop file is 1.4 meg and the affinity file is 3.6 - when saving things for the web in smaller sizes it’s a bigger problem as to get a reasonable quality comparison the file size is way too big. It looked like a great app - I simply want to edit images and export them as jpgs for the web. Adobe lets you export for the web and creates beautiful files that are tiny - affinity photo creates large, terrible looking images. I see this was brought up in a forum re the Mac desktop app 3 years ago and hasn’t been resolved. Hey gang - are you going to fix this or should we toss it in the trash?
