  1. Oh, I'll give that a try then. i was using WINE 4.0 stable
  2. How did you get around the Exception: ResourceSection bug when launching the installer in WINE?
  3. As stated by the person I quoted, the installer outright refuses to even run on WINE to begin with so this is the next best option I can think of. I could also potentially use virtualization containers such as Cameyo or VMWare ThinApps to make absolutely sure that all the install files are in there, but I'm a bit positive that that's all it installs. It seems to be erroring out on doing some Direct X calls when I look at the debug log so it might be something related to WINE's configuration itself
  4. I installed Affinity Designer using my windows tablet and then I put the contents of C:\Program Files\Affinity into a self-extracting archive via 7-zip then moved that executable to my Linux machine
  5. Well for one, I got it to run on the new Wine 4.0 version but only until the registration window. It closes immediately once you get to the license agreement window.
  6. Valve's Proton project has apparently done a lot in the way of interfacing with DirectX calls. Would anyone with more knowledge be able to check it out and see how it goes? Affinity Designer is really one of the missing workflows I have since moving to Linux Inkscape is just painful to work with and Gravit is a subscription-based Electron app...
  7. Thanks @firstdefence, I actually understand HTML and CSS but I wanted something that makes the process faster so I can allot more time to Affinity Designer instead. Also I love how BlueGriffon looks, it's akin to the Affinity products.
  8. I don't really have system issues so I guess this is enough in my signature? I always keep my software up-to-date.
  9. Hi, I know this is probably out of scope for this forum but I thought I might as well ask. Do you have suggestions/tips when converting web design from Affinity Designer to actual website? What tools do you use what's the easiest route to doing it, etc?

How do I mirror my node adjustments?

Thanks for all the replies @firstdefence, @toltec, and @dutchshader! Just goes to show there's more than one way to skin a cat. I found another way too for posterity's sake, I'll add it here as well.

What did you do with the 2nd rectangle? What made it disappear like that along with the 1st rectangle's other half?

How do I mirror my node adjustments?

I don't think I understand what you meant by add a node and move it as well as how I'm going to be able to replicate a mirrored version if I went that route. Your second answer is something I can more understand.
  13. Let's say I have a a curve like this Then I make an adjustment to it using the Node tool like so How do I mirror it to the other side? I can't find any indicator of numeric values pertaining to the changes I made on the left side.

    Non-destructive usage of Live Projection?

I managed to embed a test document but I can't figure out where I'm supposed to edit it. I tried modifying the original source file but the embedded one didn't change even after I saved the original.

I didn't even know you could do that lol. How does one embed an Affinity Photo document into another one?
