  1. Just a note on the above. I have now had a go at doing the panorama from the RAW files as opposed to the JPEG's in my second attempt where I didn't have the artefact issues. I then exported as PNG before using the PNG files to create the panorama. I had no issues with artefacts this way and was able to align the images fairly successfully. Now whether thats the wrong way or right way to do it I don't really know but here is the result.
  2. Thanks. I like the second composition better too. I was looking for the same sort of thing in the first attempt but the water wasn't still enough to get the reflection. The first attempt did look much better after tone mapping and a bit of tweaking.
  3. Hi James Thank you for the video. These are the same tools that I tried to correct the alignment issues with previously. My efforts of last night were more successful though\ and probably I need a bit more practice. I'll try your other suggestion of HDR merging and tone mapping first. The Drone is a DJI Phantom 4 Pro
  4. Yes there are a few issues. Last night I went out and did another shoot. This time I used JPEG's only although I also have the same shots in RAW. The Image is much much better but still alignment issues. I will have a go with theRAW files maybe tomorrow and see what happens. This is how last night's turned out.
  5. No artefacts with single EV RAW, just the alignment issues. Thank you.
  6. Yes I use a fair bit of overlap. I thought around 25-30% was advised for overlap but I'm open to suggestions. I think I can still see a couple of areas of misalignment though but maybe the are easily fixable. Thanks for your help.
  7. Hi. You have the same artefacts as me along the curved structure of the bridge. I don't get artefacts from single EV JPEGs. My Alignment issues are usually towards the right hand half of the panorama. Here are the JPEGs
  8. Hi No I took the images in JPEG + RAW. So I have now tried HDR merge with RAW and now JPEG and then New Panorama. I have also tried doing the Panorama with just single EV images and they still won't align. So really I don't think your second alternative would work without correcting all the individual panoramas before HDR merging. It's very frustrating.
  9. Currently I am trying to do panoramas on my iMac. I am having problems with images not stitching/aligning correctly. I have tried using the tools for manipulating the images etc but with little effect. This morning I tried to do an HDR panorama so 5 shot AEB images x 5 if that makes sense? Initially I used the HDR merge with Tone mapping unticked and exported EXR files before reimporting them using the New Panorama function. Again alignment problems that I can't seem to fix and horrible artefacts occurring. I then tried the same but using JPEGs but now when I click stitch panorama splits the panorama into two parts as though its trying to create two separate panoramas. Now i'll be the first to put my hand up and say it could well be me but until the past few months I had no problem at all with this. I don't think its a camera issue as I'm having this issue with whichever camera I use. I've attached EXR files if that helps? Any help most welcome. 001.exr 002.exr 003.exr 004.exr 005.exr
  10. Hi. Yes I think I changed the flow when "trying" to create a Watermark brush (which I did manage after a couple of attempts). I have now completed the lesson successfully. Thanks to all for their help.
  11. Hello again. Sorry it has been much longer than expected before I have got back to this. Here is a screenshot of where I get un to before I can't get any further. I think I have all the settings correct. So at this stage when I paint over the water it has no effect at all. Thank you.
  12. Hello. Yes I will try that tomorrow if I get chance. I had previously got a lot further with the project, almost to the end in fact. But now I can barely get beyond the start so could be my MacBook. I will see how far I can get and do screenshots along the way. Thank you.
  13. Firstly I’ll start off by saying hello since this is my first post. I’ve been using affinity photo for the best part of a year I guess. I think it’s fair to say I have muddled through by a variety of experimenting and using YouTube. recently I thought I would add a bit more structure to my learning with the Affinity Photo Workbook. I would overall say it is going quite well. I am struggling with Project 2, Lumsdale Falls though. For the life of me I can’t get the Paintbrush to have any effect when I am trying to adjust the tones in the water. I have been over and over it making sure I have created a new layer and that all my settings are correct etc etc. All to no avail though. I’m currently using a MacBook Pro as I am abroad for a while. If I was at home I would be using my iMac. It could well be me being thick but I’m starting to wonder if it’s a bug. its probably hard to tell without actually seeing what I’m doing but maybe it’s a problem that’s occurred before and somebody can put their finger on it? Any advice would be much appreciated, I haven’t got a lot of hair left as it is and you may just save me losing the last few remnants.
