Hey guys, I remember reading on the forum a while ago that the LOCK GUIDES option will be available in one of the next udpates. When is it going to be available? With version 1.7? Thank you, Chris

While I agree with what you said, Affinity is definitely a production ready application. But just like any other app, it has its flaws. Hopefully they will add the lock guides option soon

Hexadecimal color code (improvements)
chris.bannu replied to chips's topic in Feedback for the V1 Affinity Suite of Products
Hi Andy, The hex value is heavily used in ui design. That's why it should be everywhere. Maybe Affinity Photo users don't care much for it, but for Affinity Designer, which is heavily used for ui design, I think it would be almost mandatory Also, the color options in AD are also awesome, so also having the HEX value for each model/style (I don't know what it's called) would be awesome Cheers, Chris -

What do you mean PS boxes? Thanks -
same problem, in the new beta version (.99) Didn't have this problem in the previous beta version though

Hey guys, Just downloaded the new Beta version, and I found this problem. When using Ctrl hold and draging a shape in order to duplicate it, the original shape will change its position as well by a few pixels. It happens very often, like 70% of all times. Is there a way to revert back to the previous beta version? It was pretty stable. Thanks, Chris

Hi MEB, Thanks for the tip, unfortunately the ideal scenario is to keep everything editable Mask and masked object. Cheers, Chris edit: how can I try what you suggested? I'm trying, but I can't seem to figure it out Thank you kindly edit 2: I think I managed to do it (create 2 shapes, add gaussian blur to one of them and raster it, select Mask To Below). Is that what you meant?

Hi guys, Are there any plans on updating Affinity with a feather effect for vector objects? That would really be awesome for PSD output, if we use gaussian blur it simply rasterizes the shape, and that's a no no Thank you for a great product, Chris

Hi guys, I know Affinity doesn't have a Feather option, but is there anything similar? I need to apply something similar to Feather on a vector object, and I need it NOT to be rasterized in Photoshop. I tried the Gaussian Blur in Affinity, but that rasterizes the object on export. Anyone know a way or some workaround? Thank you, Chris

@Gabriela G. Unfortunately no. Personally I found an idiotic workaround, but it's very time consuming. Export the text only to pdf from Affinity -> Open in Illustrator -> Save as AI -> Open in Fireworks -> tweak the text (recreate the parts with more than 1 line of text) -> Export to psd -> Copy to the desired PSD -> Organize the text in the right layers. It's the only way As silly as it sounds, I still prefer Affinity over PSD, even if I have to do all of the above. It's a great software, you'll fall inlove with it. After they add this feature I will build an Affinity temple in my city

Ctrl -> to view distances: how to disable?
chris.bannu replied to chris.bannu's topic in Older Feedback & Suggestion Posts
Hi MEB, Thank you for the reply That sounds great. If the developers will not add this feature, at least I hope they won't fix this bug, at least not until the feature is added Again, thank you for an amazing product. Affinity quickly became my main tool, even though it doesn't export text to psd as editable text. I am currently using a very difficult work around, which involved recreating text that has more than 1 line, but it's still worth it
