Olympus HI RES raw files shot down Affinity

Every raw photo that I open in LR on the iPad is there in raw. The camera is at least 2 years old.

Olympus HI RES raw files shot down Affinity

Uploading these hi res files from my sd card to the iPad Pro is never an issue. So if photos can recognize every one of them, I’m not sure what the issue is with Affinity

I understand that part. What I don’t get is how I can download an unsupported file to begin with.

I hear what you saying. Can you explain to me how I was able to send you the orf files from Apple photos to you as an unsupported file? And how do I get these hi res raw files into Lr just fine from photos if it is an unsupported format? Or is Lr lying when it shows raw? Thanks.

Well with a little help, I figured out how to send the raw files. So now you have 2 sets of 4

This guy. Or if you give me his info, I’ll get to the bottom of this issue.

Hey Gabriel - the person with accent, who is doing the tutorials for the iPad Pro uses files from his Olympus EM1 mark2 in those videos. If you know how to get in contact with him, you can ask him to do a test. Maybe he can figure it out. In 2018, this shouldn’t happen.

I received a confirmation email from Dropbox and see that the files are jpegs for some reason

I just sent 4 hi res raw files. Try focus stacking them.

Thank you. I was hoping to not having to do that.

I meant to write Apple. If Apple didn’t support the hi res raw files, it would not download the files. Isn’t that correct? I only shoot raw, and Apple photos never rejected the hi res files. Like I said, once and only once Affinity worked with 3 hi res files when focus stacked. I realize that it doesn’t make sense, but for some reason the program didn’t shot down that one time. If I can import a single hi res file into Affinity from photos, how is that possible? I’m going to send you 3 files for you to try. You let me know please. Try it and see what happens. Btw, if you look up my post history, the last time I enquired about my issues, the answer was that you guys were able to use multiple files.

So I just took a hi res shot, look at the exif. Are you still going to say that it is impossible?

Tony uses an EM1 mark2 in that video. I guess you didn’t watch it. In fact the camera EM1 mark2 is visibly sitting right beside him.

How can you say that it doesn’t support it? I use it all the time. But don’t take my word for it, check out Tony Northrup’s Review of the iPad, using an em1 mark2 with 80mp raw files. https://youtu.be/TDvsNRa13CI
